Becky's Fund
Becky's Fund is a national 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization focused on education and prevention of domestic and dating violence (DV) in Washington, DC since 2006. Becky's Fund began with a small goal to give support to those small domestic violence organizations working to serve battered women in marginalized and immigrant communities. That goal has since expanded and led to the creation of several innovative programs.

Becky’s Fund strives to use its diverse programs to directly address the many issues surrounding DV. The National Domestic Violence College Tour has visited over 30 campuses nationwide to spread awareness to the age group (16-24) with the highest prevalence rate. The “Becoming Your Own Heroine” Program is a collaborative effort with the Girl Scouts to educate teen girls about dating violence, self defense, and the importance of self expression since more than half of teens know someone in a violent relationship. As DV is also a men’s issue, the Young Men’s Mentorship Program fosters positive relationships between at-risk youth and prominent men in the Washington, DC area to promote healthy relationships with and attitudes towards potential partners.

With one in four women experiencing some form of violence in her lifetime, Becky’s Fund believes it is critical to stand up now and fight for the prevention of DV. Without the help and assistance of each and every one of us, this silent epidemic will only continue. We can all do our part to help end domestic and dating violence.
