Your Dog’s Friend was established to help keep dogs out of shelters by educating and supporting their humans. They promote positive methods of training and behavior modification and also encourage early socialization and training for puppies to reduce the chance of behavior issues later. Your Dog’s Friend gives dog parents a place to turn with their questions and concerns; offers free workshops to educate the public on various dog-related issues; runs positive training classes, including ongoing Puppy Kindergartens, classes to help humans with their dogs’ behavior, and a program specifically for shelter and rescue fosters; wrote and gives out The Shelter & Rescue Dog Book to shelters, rescues and adopters; maintains an informative website; and sends out a newsletter with articles and resources.
